‘That’s Irrelephant’: Woman Walks Out on Date After He Told Her to Pay the Bill. She Paid and Taught Her a New Word.

'That's Irrelephant' Woman Walks Out on Date After He Told Her to Pay the Bill. She Paid and Dissed Him on DM.

The dating scene is rough for some, and people often get into fights when the bill arrives. Misha (@yourbestiemisha) told TikTok about his friend, Serena, and her recent dating horror story. She left that date with a strange new word in her vocabulary.

“I haven’t laughed this hard in a long time,” Misha told TikTok. He then showed a text for Serena, his friend, who just got off from a date. Serena said that Carlos, the man she went on a date with, was both awful and misogynistic.

When the waitress went off to drop the check, the man made a snide remark.

“She’ll pay. It’s the least she can do,” Carlos told the waitress. Serena was confused and asked him what he meant.

“I don’t pay for women on dates. I make women pay because that’s their tax for building the world they live in,” he allegedly told Serena. She was offended by his statement, so she got up, grabbed the check, and paid for the full bill. She walked out without saying another word to the man.

Learning a new word after one bad date

Later on, Carlos messaged Serena to insult her even further. He went on a rant about how women are “low-class gold diggers.”

“You all want equality until the check comes,” Carlos alleged. Serena clarified her actions, telling him that the check wasn’t the problem.

“It was when you called it a “female tax” and said it was the price women pay for men building the world,” she said. It was the condescension she wasn’t willing to put up with.

“For sure men built the entire world so I don’t pay for women you pay me,” Carlos kept asserting. It’s unclear why the man felt sure about his statement, but he was willing to extend the fight even after losing his date.

“And what part did YOU build?” Serena questioned him, and his response was unexpected.

“That’s irrelephant,” he told Serena. Perhaps he meant ‘irrelevant,’ but failed to spell the word correctly. Instead of correcting the man, Serena doubled down by replying with an elephant emoji and a thumbs-up emoji.

“Whatever women today are to masculine,” he replied. In his fury, maybe Carlos had also forgotten that ‘too’ and ‘to’ are two different words.

“Says the man who asked me to finance his burger,” Serena clapped back. The exchange left Misha wheezing. Even he was perplexed by Carlos’ use of ‘irrelephant’ in the texts. Despite Serena’s sour experience, she’s at the very least walking out with a new word in her vocabulary.

Social media learns about ‘irrelephant’

Social media users also made fun of Carlos, with many commenters saying that they’d incorporate ‘irrelephant’ in their vocabulary.

One commenter on TikTok wrote, “Brilliant!! Everything she said is SO relephant!!!”

Another said, “I had coffee in my mouth and almost spit it out when you said ‘irrelephant.'”

A witty user managed to use the word in a sentence. They wrote, “I had something to say but it was repetitive of the other comments so I just figured it is irrelephant.”

But others were praising Serena’s comeback in the comment section as well. One social media user wrote, “My favorite part was the elephant emoji. It was just the cherry on top.” Others were calling her a “queen” for the savage comeback.

It may have been an objectively terrible date for Serena, but winning the internet over makes the bad experience irrelephant in the grand scheme of things.
