The ex-fiancée of NFL wide receiver Tez Johnson claims that she discovered he cheated the same day as proposing to her. She shares shocking alleged screenshots from the affair and how she found out.
In a video with over 2.8 million views, TikToker Laila (@ltdubbz) posts a video exactly a year after she got engaged to Johnson. She shares clips from the proposal, which included a floral-decorated venue and a romantic engagement dinner afterwards.
However, wedding planning quickly shifted to grieving the relationship after she opened his phone.
She shares alleged screenshots of texts between him and an ex-girlfriend. Johnson allegedly writes, “Need your throat,” at 9am the day of the proposal. Around midnight the same day, Johnson allegedly texts his ex again, writing, “When can I [expletive] in you and [expletive] you like I want to.”
“For some reason, you cheat before and after you propose,” Laila remarks. “That’s just something I will never understand.” At the end of the clip, she speaks directly to Johnson, saying, “Don’t you dare try to silence me again.”
How did she discover the text messages?
In a follow-up video, Laila addresses many comments asking her to share the details of how she discovered the text messages.
She says she received a Facebook message from Johnson’s ex-girlfriend shortly after she posted their engagement photos.
“Mind you, I had heard about this ex-girlfriend. I was told she was crazy,” she says. Laila claims that the ex-girlfriend sent her the screenshots and explained the timeline of their communication, including call logs.
“In those messages, there’s clear intent to meet up, even though it was just texting,” she continues. “At the end of the day, cheating is cheating.”
Laila shares that she went through “psychosis” following the break-up due to the distressing nature of the situation.
She captions the video, “& no I never got an apology LOL.”

In the comments, viewers can’t believe the allegations that Johnson cheated the same day as proposing. Many point out that getting engaged is “completely optional.”
