‘Obama was behind it all’: Don Jr. who’s never been right about anything says he’s cracked the case that actual investigators couldn’t

If there were a global championship for confidently asserting things that are wildly untrue,  Don Jr would be a perennial gold medalist.

This time, Junior has graced us with a revelation so groundbreaking that it apparently eluded intelligence agencies, bipartisan Senate committees, and federal prosecutors. According to the self-proclaimed sleuth of the Trump family, he has single-handedly cracked the case of the so-called “Russia hoax,” and—surprise, surprise—it all somehow leads back to Barack Obama. Because, of course, it does.

The allegations began to take shape this week when former Trump administration official Tulsi Gabbard. claimed during a White House briefing that Obama had ordered U.S. intelligence agencies to doctor reports about Russia’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 election. According to Gabbard, the investigations into Trump’s campaign and Russian interference were not only politically motivated but also the result of a “coup” engineered by Obama. The goal? To delegitimize Trump’s presidency before it even began. This narrative conveniently ignores the fact that the Russia investigations were initiated after credible evidence surfaced, including communications between Trump campaign officials and Russian operatives.

And then there’s the timing. With Trump’s base increasingly restless over the unresolved mysteries surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s death and infamous “client list,” the White House seems desperate for a distraction. What better way to rally the troops than by reviving the greatest hits of the Trump administration: the “deep state,” Barack Obama, and the ever-reliable specter of a conspiracy against their beleaguered leader?

The Epstein scandal, which has resurfaced with renewed vigor in recent weeks, is an albatross around the neck of anyone with ties to the late financier. The Department of Justice recently announced that it could not locate Epstein’s alleged “client list,” a revelation that has only added fuel to the fire. Critics have accused the DOJ and FBI of covering up the identities of Epstein’s co-conspirators, and Trump’s base has been particularly vocal in demanding answers. Faced with this growing uproar, the Trump camp seems to have turned to an old tactic: when in doubt, blame Obama.

The idea that Obama, a president who left office with a 59% approval rating, would risk his legacy to orchestrate a “coup” against Trump is laughable. If anything, Obama has been notably restrained in his criticism of his successor, even as Trump has repeatedly dragged his name through the mud. Maybe Junior should stick to hawking autographed books and poorly made merchandise. Solving mysteries? Not his strong suit.
