North Carolina woman goes shopping, then realises she isn’t wearing a bra. The problem is, she was wearing one when she left home…
I wouldn’t go back either.

For most people, a wardrobe malfunction happens in a single, cringeworthy moment. But for Charlotte-based TikTok creator Paige (@rawr_its_paige), it was a slow-burn realization that spanned three stores and a missing bra.
In a video that has amassed over 928.4k views, Paige recounts the bewildering moment she realized she’s lost her “favorite pink bra.” When she stepped into her car after a long day of shopping, she found herself without a bra. But that’s not how she left home earlier that day.
A mother’s ‘advice’ led Paige to shop for a bra at TJ Maxx
The saga began because Paige’s mother frequently reminds her that her bras don’t fit properly. In an attempt to appease her, Paige started her Friday errands at TJ Maxx to try on new options.
She eventually left the store and continued her afternoon. She also visited Five Below and Petco after that, and even hit a Taco Bell drive-thru. It wasn’t until she arrived back at her apartment complex and unbuckled her seatbelt that she noticed something was significantly off.
The ‘wild dogs’ finally broke free of their leash
Paige, who describes her chest as “a pack of wild dogs” that need to be “leashed down,” realized the “ladies” were feeling a little too loose. To her horror, she realized she’s not wearing a bra even though she left home wearing her favorite pink one.
In all possibility, it was still hanging on the back of the door in the TJ Maxx dressing room. “Sure enough, they’re free tonight,” she joked, reeling from the fact that she had walked through multiple public spaces today. In an honest mistake, she had forgotten to put her original undergarment back on after her fitting.
Losing the favorite pink bra was not funny
What made the incident a true tragedy for Paige was the specific item lost. It was her favorite pink bra, a rare find, as she noted. She expressed her frustration at how “big lady bras” rarely come in fun, vibrant colors.
While she joked that she can never show her face in those specific stores again, she expressed deep relief that she stayed in her car at Taco Bell. “I can find another TJ Maxx; I cannot find another Taco Bell—there’s not one anywhere around here,” she lamented. Her priorities are straight: Cheesy Gordita Crunches over her retail reputation.
The psychology of the ‘seatbelt realization’
Many women report that the physical sensation of a seatbelt across the chest is the primary “alert system” for a forgotten bra. Because bras provide consistent compression, the brain eventually tunes out the sensation of wearing one.
However, the diagonal pressure of a seatbelt provides a tactile “check” that immediately highlights the lack of support. Paige’s viral moment strikes a chord because it taps into the “autopilot” mode many people enter during a busy day of errands. Often, the routine of dressing and undressing becomes so mechanical that a major step can be missed entirely.
The internet is convinced TJ Maxx will sell Paige’s bra
The comments are a mixture of shared “bra-less” solidarity and retail-worker warnings about what happens to abandoned items. “TJ Maxx will probably put it on the rack and sell it,” one viewer joked, imagining a confused customer finding the pink bra.
• “I PROMISE you, they think you shoplifted a bra,” another added. And fairly enough, it’s a valid suspicion that someone left an old bra behind while wearing a new one out. “So what you’re saying is that it’s your mom’s fault?” a third asked, to which Paige hilariously agreed.
But Paige’s story proves that Friday nights are for “letting loose,” even if it’s entirely accidental. She probably did not brave the return trip to TJ Maxx to reclaim her bra. But if you don’t want to lose yours, make sure to check the hooks before you leave.
