She gets complimented on her ‘favorite’ Miu Miu sunglasses. What she does next surprises even herself—but she can’t take it back: ‘Why did I do that?’
A woman accidentally gave her favorite Miu Miu sunglasses to a retail employee. Now, it’s too late to take it back. But, TikTok user Pia (@sophiacuerquis) is still hoping that she may be reunited with her favorite (extremely expensive) sunglasses.
Pia posted the video on Jan. 22, and it’s since gotten 5.3 million views. In her comments section, people referred to the TikToker as a “people pleaser final boss.”
What happened to her Miu Miu sunglasses?
Pia was checking out at a store when a girl noticed her Miu Miu sunglasses. The store associate complimented her, letting her know that she loved the glasses and asking where they were from.
Pia quickly told the woman that the glasses were from Miu Miu, a luxury Italian fashion brand that primarily makes women’s clothing and accessories.
Then, she let the store associate know she could just have them. Pia didn’t try to back-peddle, figuring it was already too late. At that point, she simply just gave the employee the glasses and left the store, reflecting later that it was probably an amazing gift for the employee but a travesty for her.
“ They were my Miu Miu sunglasses, my favorite Miu Miu sunglasses. But it’s OK. It’s OK. I didn’t need them anyway,” Pia said.
How much do Miu Miu sunglasses cost?
Miu Miu is notably an expensive company, with jackets costing $2,000 and other accessories usually ranging from $500-1,000.
Miu Miu sunglasses can cost over $440+, with most colors and shapes costing around $550. Miu Miu sunglasses are often worn on the runway or during select events in the fashion industry. For instance, Miu Miu’s Spring/Summer 2026 runway glasses, which “reinvent” an iconic style from 2005.
“The wraparound frame gives the original silhouette a contemporary, glamorous look while maintaining the enveloping shape that made the original style famous,” the company’s website stated.
These frames cost $440 and come in four different colors. Other frames, like the reverie sunglasses, cost $555. Frames like the Aube sunglasses are more expensive, coming in at $670.
Considering how expensive Miu Miu glasses can be, commenters let Pia know she probably had massive positive karma coming her way. “She’ll probably tell people about you forever though,” added another viewer.
Does Miu Miu send TikTokers PR packages?
Many commenters are now praying that Pia gets access to a Miu Miu PR package. That way, she can get some nicer items from the company without having to spend $200–$500 to replace her sunglasses.
Miu Miu does have notable and outright famous PR packages. Recently, the company sent TikTok content creators mini microphones to use while recording content, a move that many found ingenious. It enables brand ambassadors to make content with Miu Miu-branded tools, even when not specifically discussing the company’s products.
But it can be quite difficult to become a brand ambassador or TikTok creator for luxury brands such as Miu Miu. PR Packages can come with some pre-requisite requirements, despite being no-strings attached. Influencers often have to make brand-aligned content that fits within the brand’s niche. Sometimes, influencers have to retain a certain number of followers or influencers within a space before receiving brand partnership deals, although this isn’t always the case. Brands want to send PR packages to representatives who can reflect their company positively and reach engaged audiences.
For that reason, it may be possible for Pia to receive a PR package from Miu Miu or a gift, but it’s not necessarily a given.
