A woman claims that a man she met on a flight to Miami sent her a $500 bouquet in preparation for a date in town. Then, she didn’t hear from him for a week. Thinking nothing of it, Jade Ines (@jjaddeeeeee) went about her life. But then she got a call from an unknown number that turned out to be a Canadian prisoner.

According to her, the man she liked ended up in a prison cell, and he was calling just to apologize for ghosting her the week before. She posted about the strange situation on TikTok, with her video garnering 8,000 views since Dec. 15.

“Whattttttt please go get your man,” one commenter said. So, will Ines continue seeing her “mystery man?” Or did she get the ick from the Canadian prisoner trapped in the States?

The perfect man—until he ghosted

Ines described her full encounter with the man in her TikTok video, mentioning that she met him while boarding a flight to Miami.

The man, who was in first class, struck up a conversation with the TikToker. They shared a common experience in just moving to Miami from different cities.

Ines noticed the chemistry between the two almost immediately and hoped that he would give her his number. While she was grabbing her luggage on the ground, he ended up approaching her to do so.

They started texting after the flight, with Ines genuinely starting to like the man. “ He’s super funny. We’re instantly kind of vibing on a lot of things,” she told her viewers.

The next day after she came home, she found a $500 bouquet waiting for her. The man then asked her on a date the very next day, which she accepted.

But, she didn’t hear anything from him the next day. She got ready, thinking that he might reach out, only to not hear anything later into the night. Ines took it as a sign that the man was ghosting and let go of the situation, expecting it to fade into a fleeting encounter.

He reappears as an unexpected Canadian prisoner

A week and a half later, Ines heard back from the man. This time, though, it was in a completely unexpected way.

She received an unknown call that ended up being from an “inmate.” Curious, she allowed the call to go through.  Obviously, I need to know who’s calling me from an institution, and it’s the guy that fell [from the] face [of] the earth,” Ines said.

According to Ines, the man got picked up by border control as he is originally from Canada. The man felt so bad about missing their date that he sent her on a spa date, saying that he never meant to stop talking to her.

Sparks fly again

Based on Ines’s comments section, all is forgiven. She mentioned that she would continue speaking to the man once he got out of the “cage” he was locked in.

Confused commenters asked questions about the situation, to which Ines replied, “Girl no idea but he’s mine now.”

As one commenter expressed, “If he wanted to he would.” For Ines, her Canadian prisoner had done more for her than her ex ever did. “Like he did more from imprisonment than my ex did… and without hesitations,” Ines commented.

Ines even claimed that their situation was somewhat close to a Hallmark movie. Or at least, it was movie-like in some way, shape, or form.

We’ve reached out to Ines to see if her romance with the Canadian bachelor has continued.
