Americans love shopping online. Specifically, we really, really enjoy shopping on Amazon.

Recommended Videos

According to Capital One Shopping, the average Amazon shopper makes 77 purchases on the site every year. This equates to one purchase every 4.74 days.

While many of these orders are completed without incident, sometimes, problems can occur. For example, drivers occasionally drop off the wrong item. Additionally, while customers can leave directions for drivers, these aren’t always followed—which can result in disaster.

In some cases, the problem isn’t the delivery driver, but the customer. Now, a user on TikTok has gone viral after claiming that their neighbor went a little overboard ordering packages—and now, they’re demanding answers.

Why Are There So Many Packages?

In a video with over 6.2 million views, TikTok user and Omaha Union soccer player Adrian Billhardt (@adrian.bht) sends a message to his neighbor, a woman named Meighan.

“This video is for Meighan from our apartment complex and Meighan only. So if you’re not Meighan from our apartment complex, keep swiping,” the video starts.

As the video progresses, the TikToker shows nearly 20 packages in the mailroom of their building.

“Nineteen packages are waiting in our mailroom for pickup,” the TikToker says. Meighan is then declared the “consumerism final boss.”

Meighan Responds

Immediately, commenters began to share thoughts about this mysterious Meighan.

“Can we do a wellness check on Megan?!” asked a user.

“We need an unboxing video from Meghan,” declared another.

“Megan is single-handedly keeping our economy booming,” shared a third.

The pair also made a video going to her apartment. She did not answer.

Eventually, the pair got a response from Meighan herself.

“Oh I fear I am *the* Meighan,” she wrote in a comment under the original video. Under another video, she said that she was alive. The buildup of packages, she says, is due to her being “just a night shift gal who has been out of town.”

They Finally Meet

Once the group actually met, they posted some photos together. The caption of the post reads, “She’s alive. She’s real. And she’s doing well. We got to see her for a brief moment before heading to her work shift and surprised her with some merch and 2 tickets to our home opener match tomorrow.”

While Meighan could not attend the game, the pair says that the increased attention from the videos brought additional people to the event. Not only that, but their team won. Now, they say they hope to bring Meighan to a future game.

They also prepared a surprise for Meighan.

“We made an official jersey for you with your name on the back and the number 19, because there were 19 packages left in the mailroom,” the TikToker says, showing the jersey.

Commenters Love It

In the comments section, users loved watching the entire saga play out on their TikTok feed.

“Hello! I love that Meighan has her own jersey now!!! 19 packages!!!” exclaimed a commenter. “I was online shopping the other day and told my husband that Meighan inspired me to get more packages!! Lols.”

“Congratulations on the win guys but more importantly for setting a great example of kindness. Love it so much!” offered another.
