Man takes pregnant wife to get Buffalo Wings. Then he finds staff doing a food safety crime in the kitchen
Nothing will happen to him anyway.

We’ve all heard the horror stories about what happens behind the kitchen doors of our favorite chain restaurants. But usually, we like to live in blissful, sauce-covered ignorance. However, one man just blew the lid off the “back of house” secrets at Buffalo Wild Wings, and it’s enough to make you lose your appetite for wings forever.
TikTok user Andrew (@drucifer4728) recently went viral with a video that has amassed over 7.5 million views. The video captures what appears to be a Buffalo Wild Wings employee treating the kitchen like a private vape lounge. The clip isn’t just “cringe,”it’s a blatant health code violation caught in 4K.
What did the man see in the Buffalo Wings kitchen?
“@Buffalo Wild Wings I wonder if this is the reason my pregnant wife’s wings were inedible?” Andrew asked in the caption, effectively dropping a localized bomb on the brand’s reputation. In the video, a worker is seen wearing wired headphones and casually exhaling a cloud of vapor right where your Lemon Pepper Wet is being prepped. And the man had went there with his pregnant wife, to make it worse.
It’s the “mask-off” moment nobody wanted. We all expect a certain level of chaos in a sports bar kitchen. But “saliva-infused vapor clouds” probably wasn’t on the menu. Andrew’s concern wasn’t just about the “vibe”; it was about the literal safety of his pregnant wife’s food. It’s not unknown to anybody that vaping, smoking, or any sort of intoxication is dangerous for pregnant women.
The ‘Everyone Does It’ Defense
The real “twist” in this story isn’t the video itself, it’s the collective shrug from the internet. Instead of being horrified, a staggering number of users basically told Andrew to “get over it.” They claimed that vaping in restaurant kitchens is as common as salt.
“I was a server at bdubs for 2 years, I promise EVERYONE who works there vapes/smokes lol,” one user wrote. And just like that, our worst fears about the “secret ingredient” in the garlic parmesan sauce is confirmed.
Another added, “There is no restaurant you will go to where they don’t vape Ngl.” It’s a bleak reminder that while we’re out here paying $20 for a snack, the staff is treating the health code like a suggestion rather than a rule. So, go prepared.
Is It Actually Illegal to vape in cafe/restaurant kitchens?
For the record: Yes. While federal law is a bit hazy on private workspaces, the FDA’s Food Code is crystal clear. Using tobacco products, which explicitly includes e-cigarettes, is strictly prohibited in areas where food is being prepped. Why? Because vaping spreads saliva and germs.
Even Buffalo Wild Wings’ own employee handbook forbids the use of tobacco products on the premises while in uniform. It’s not just “rude”; it’s a fireable offense that puts customer health at risk. Yet, it’s as common as you fear it to be.
The normalization of health violations is an even bigger concern for consumers
The most disturbing part of this viral moment isn’t the lone worker with the vape. It’s the “holy glazing” happening in the comments. The fact that so many people think it’s “okay” or “normal” for kitchen staff to blow chemicals over food is the ultimate sign of a failing standard. We’ve reached a level of “terminally online” apathy where pointing out a literal health hazard makes you the bad guy.
So until the company decides to hold its staff accountable, you might want to consider if those “BOGO” wings are worth the side of secondhand vapor. But best avoid fast food chains if you want to have a good time with your pregnant wife.
