Woman says man called her ugly on her post. So she tracks down his girlfriend–and sends her his message: ‘You did the right thing’

The internet is full of brave men hiding behind comment sections. Many of them stay with their ragebait untaken but this one forgot that his profile came with a girlfriend attached. The story might be simple, but it shows how far a rotten root grows. This random guy slid under a person’s post to call them ugly, and they decided to take the conversation… directly to his personal life.
A quick profile search later, the person in question found his girlfriend and forwarded the message along with a polite little heads-up about the online bullying. Now TikTok is locked in debate over whether the creator crossed a line or simply delivered the most efficient accountability package imaginable.
What Happened?
The internet is up in arms again with a viral clip posted by @thatnonbinarycreature. In just two days, the less than 30-second video has gained over 370,000 views and over 500 comments. They begin straight to the point, saying that a man commented under one of their posts, calling them ugly and comparing them to a “horrible meme.”
The meme? A picture of a pig with a septum ring, referencing the creator’s own piercing. The creator made way to the man’s profile and saw his girlfriend “listed there.” Not only does the creator send what the man had written, but they also share a more or less passive-aggressive text.
“Hey, just so you know, your partner bullies women online,” they say. “Usually men’s online behavior is quite revealing about how they actually feel about women.” They then close off the message, wishing the girlfriend “luck” and that hopefully she is able to leave him.
Is it Fake?
Countless viewers seem to believe that the story is untrue, created only to get clout or attention. However, the creator has other videos where they explain their process. In a specific video, they start off saying how they fantasize about “ruining men’s lives” and how they love how “not well thought out many men’s profiles are.”
Apparently, many of them comment “horrific [expletive]” on her posts without remembering that they have personal information on their profiles.
Therefore, the TikTok creator goes ahead and “follows up to the correct people in their lives: partners, wives, children, whoever’s listed there. Just to let them know about this man’s behavior online.” They say that men should be held accountable for the “vile” things they say online.
Why Do Men Cyberbully Women So Much?
@thatnonbinarycreature is not the first person to experience this. Since the dawn of the internet, when good came, also came the bad. The United Nations reported that 73% of women online have experienced some sort of online abuse. Similarly, in 2024, Step Together conducted a study surrounding online misogyny. This includes “sharing sexist attitudes, jokes and memes, or serious threats or inciting violence against women.”
While the articles discussed a myriad of topics such as echo chambers, radicalisation, and misinformation, one particular point is essential. The study found that “Content that appeals to young men – in particular humour and memes – is a huge driver and key entry point in the pathway to misogynistic content.” This describes some of the men under @thatnonbinarycreature’s clip.

‘But did he lie?’
As one can expect, the clip angered a lot of men, and a number of them chose to share their own opinions. Particularly, saying something along the lines of ‘did he lie?’ meaning the man who led the creator to create the video. Many also choose to believe it’s fake. In these comments, some viewers defend the creator by either calling them out or saying how they prove the point being made.
Other viewers are more encouraging, such as labeling the creators’s act as “Queen behavior fr” and claiming that they’re definitely not ugly. One viewer says, “You’re very very lovely. Hope that dude’s remark didn’t get under your skin too much.” The creator responds, “He is one of many and they do NOT. Thankfully my reptile scales are quite thick and hard to puncture!”
Many ask for an update on what the girlfriend responded, but so far, she has not. One viewer speculates, “Trust me she knows.”
