Woman ‘catches a vibe’ for a song her husband wrote. Then she realizes it’s about another woman

A woman recently shared a clip of her “catching a vibe” to her famous husband’s song. Then, she remembered that the song was about another woman entirely.
Madeleine White Fedyk (@madeleine_white), who has over 5.2 million followers on TikTok, recently spilled that one of her partner’s songs was written about someone else. In a video with over 16.6 million views, she described a situation where she was jamming to “Body” by Loud Luxury before realizing it was about “another chick.”
The post came as a surprise to some fans. That’s because many of her audience members realized Fedyk married one of the members of the Canadian duo Loud Luxury, Andrew Fedyk. Many viewers hadn’t made the connection beforehand. But, Fedyk seemed more surprised by the fact that “Body” has sensual lyrics like “Baby, don’t make a sound / 2 a.m., love gotta keep it down.”
“I’d never get over this if my husband wrote it on another woman,” one viewer wrote.
What is ‘Body’ by Loud Luxury about?
“Body” was the first single released by Loud Luxury, which peaked at no. 3 in Canada and no.5 in the U.K. While many listeners describe the song as having quintessential “2014-2016 nostalgia,” and connecting it to house bliss, the track was actually released in 2017. With a pulsating energy and an energetic “club” vibe, the duo’s first single described a casual, fun night out with a partner that turns into a sensual and seductive evening.
On the house track’s chorus, featured artist Brando sings, “Body on my, losin’ all my innocence, yeah.” Other references to “the six” — or Toronto’s area code the “416” — make the track significantly more pointed toward the duo’s lived experiences in 2017 and the city as a whole. While it’s not the raunchiest song to release during that era, it definitely has some lyrics that dig into some suggestive ideas.
How did viewers respond to Fedyk’s post?
Fedyk’s post referencing the track seems to be in good fun. But, many viewers said they wouldn’t be able to handle the song’s lyrics.
“Honestly women who marry artists are so strong for this,” one viewer shared. “I could never. It would tear me to shreds emotionally. I’m too sensitive.”
Another viewer added, “i like actually wouldn’t be able to physically stop myself from constantly bringing this up.”
But, many other social media users saw Fedyk’s relationship as a complete win. Coca-Cola’s official social media account responded to the post, saying, “You still won girl.”
Other viewers recommended keeping the single’s subject matter in her metaphorical back pocket for arguments. They added that it would be great fuel for a variety of arguments or contexts. “I’d play it every time we fight to get me fired up,” another viewer humorously said.
@madeleine_white Never mind.. in other news it’s moving day and this is my contribution to helping
