‘Would have probably gotten better donuts doing a Walmart delivery’: Alabama man orders $51 Krispy Kreme delivery for his workers who start at 4am. Then Krispy Kreme ruins their day

A sweet treat before a long workday sounded like a good idea to one Alabama man. Instead, he says the Krispy Kreme order he placed fell short in two major ways.
In his video, which got over 60,800 views, TikTok creator Buddy Love (@buddy.love711) said that Krispy Kreme “ruined his morning,” and allegedly refused to take accountability.
What Went Wong With The Krispy Kreme Order?
Love films the storytime from his car and says the order was meant to help his team get through a long inventory day that started around 4 a.m. He works in food service, he explains, and usually avoids complaining unless something is “really terrible.”
The night before, he orders donuts through the Krispy Kreme website for the Huntsville, Alabama location. The order includes one dozen original glazed and one dozen fall assorted donuts, two dozen total. He places the order about 15 minutes before the store opens, with delivery scheduled for 45 minutes after opening.
“The total I paid was $51 for two dozen donuts,” Love says, noting that the price includes the delivery fee and service fee. He says his managers and staff were excited about it. “Nothing beats a sugar rush early in the morning, especially if you got a lot of work to do.”
The delivery driver arrived on time at 6:45 a.m., but when she opened her bag, there was only one box inside.
“She pulls out one box,” Love says. “Just one. One box.”
He tells her he was supposed to receive two dozen donuts, not one. The driver allegedly tells him that’s the only box the store gave her and explains that because the order was placed directly through Krispy Kreme, he can’t call DoorDash and will need to contact the store himself.
Love opens the box and sees that it contains original glazed donuts. The sticker on the outside, however, lists both original glazed and fall assortment. “So I was shorted a whole dozen of donuts,” he says.
Another Issue Presents Itself
He takes the box into the kitchen so his staff can start eating and grabs one for himself. That’s when he notices the next issue. “It was cold and hard, and the donuts were really dark,” Love says. “So not only did you mess my order up and short me donuts, you gave me some donuts from the day before.”
He questions how the donuts could be stale when he ordered before the store opened and received them less than an hour after opening. “The red light at the Huntsville, Alabama location must be broke,” he says. “Either that or the red light means stop giving fresh donuts.”
His staff takes one bite each and stops eating them. Love then begins trying to contact the store.
“I could not get a hold of anybody,” he says. “I would push the option to talk to someone in store, it would ring like 18 times, then it would say my call can’t be connected and hang up.”
He says he initially gives the store the benefit of the doubt, thinking they might be busy in the early morning. But the attempts continue. “37 times throughout the day, I tried calling this store,” Love says. “No one cared to pick up the phone. And when they did, they literally hung up on me.”
He also claims he attempted to contact corporate, but got nowhere. By the end of the day, he still hadn’t received the missing dozen donuts and says he was still charged the full $51.
“I never got my dozen that I was shorted,” he says. “Not only that, but the dozen they gave me was from the day before. Cold, old, and hard. And they can’t even answer the phone.”
He ends the video with a direct message to the company. “All I can say is, Krispy Kreme in Huntsville, Alabama, you need to do better,” Love says. “Krispy Kreme as a company, you need to do better. And honestly, I can see why y’all stock is in the trash right now.”
Krispy Kreme Reaches Out to Him, “Sort Of”
Love follows up with a second video addressing what happened after his original post about the Huntsville, Alabama Krispy Kreme gained traction online.
“It’s sad that you have to make a video and post it online and get over 15,000 views and almost 50 mentions to your company before you reach out to say anything,” Love says.
According to Love, around 12:30 p.m. the following afternoon, Krispy Kreme’s official social media account commented directly on his post. In the comment, the company asks him to send a private message so they can “figure out where to go from here.”
He says he saw the comment right away and responded immediately. He followed their instructions and sent a detailed private message, walking through the entire donut order, the missing dozen, the stale donuts, and his failed attempts to reach the store by phone.
“I did as requested,” Love says. “I sent them a private message detailing my whole experience, basically summing up the whole thing.”
After that, he waited for a response. And kept waiting.
“It has now been over 24 hours since Krispy Kreme reached out to me to ask me to private message them,” he says. “Not only that, but they left me on read in their messages.”
At this point, he finds the situation even ridiculous.
“So I’ll definitely keep everybody posted,” he adds. “Because at this point it’s so humorous to me that a company could be this negligent to their customer base.”
What Can You Do If Your Krispy Creme Order Is Missing an Item?
As seen on the Krispy Kreme website, customers who are missing an item are directed to a contact form on the company’s site.
The company also notes that replacing the order the same day “may be limited,” but says it will try to find a “suitable alternative solution.”
Does Krispy Kreme Make Fresh Donuts Every Morning?
According to the company and several reports online, Krispy Kreme pulls fresh donuts throughout the day. Customers can spot the “Hot Light” in stores, which signals that fresh donuts are being made.
According to a report from a different TikTok creator, customers who want guaranteed fresh donuts can visit during Hot Light hours, which typically run from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. During those windows, donuts come straight off the line. Some locations also offer a free Original Glazed—one per person, in-store or via drive-thru.
Commenters Share Similar Experiences, And Other Recommendations
Many viewers shared similar frustrations with Krispy Kreme, while others pointed people toward alternative donut shops in Huntsville.
“They need to fix their app as well. I’ve put in an order similar to this one. Paid for it and when I get to the store to pick it up all they have is the original. If you can’t /won’t offer them then don’t offer it on your app!” one commenter shared. “I never got refunded for the assorted dozen. They offered me a 2nd original like the price was the same. Umm no the price for what I paid for and want is much more expensive than what you’re offering!” one person wrote.
“I have been really disappointed with Krispy Kreme the last few times I have gone there and have decided that it’s no longer worth my money. Their donuts taste like they have been cooked in old grease,” another said.

“They used to be so good. Now it’s terrible every time. The last time I tried, they told me they were out of dough. And the entire staff is rude as hell,” one commenter added.
“Go to Bigfoot Donuts. It’s also in Huntsville and they are amazing!! And I mean amazing. I love their donut holes and their seasonal ones,” another wrote.
