The It Ends With Us legal battle between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively continues to evolve. Even as some legal battles surrounding it officially come to a close, the conversation it has raised around consent and harassment continues on… especially after the newest piece of news.

New court filings obtained by People, of Baldoni’s deposition with Lively’s attorney Michael J. Gottlieb, shed light on a private conversation between the two. It occurred at her New York City apartment in December 2022, and included talking about Lively’s pregnancy with her son, Olin. That eventually led to the topic of circumcision… and Baldoni confirmed that he did tell Lively that he, himself, is circumcised, even though she did not directly ask him that question. Additionally, he confirmed that other people were nearby when this conversation was taking place.

“There were people going all around,” Baldoni testified. “Mr. [Ryan] Reynolds was in and out of the conversation. She had, I think, two nannies. I felt like there was a housekeeper there. Her assistant was walking around. I think she had two assistants there. Her and I were sitting on the couch, but there were people all around.”

When asked if he usually talks about subjects like this to his other coworkers and colleagues, Baldoni answered, “I don’t talk about my genitalia, so no.”

This lines up with Lively’s amended complaint that was filed in January of this year, which outlined some of the more specific forms of harassment she endured from Baldoni around the production of It Ends With Us. That complaint included a mention of her being disturbed that Baldoni “described his own genitalia.” Other allegations from Lively’s suit, which is still ongoing in Manhattan’s federal court, included creating a hostile work environment, and pushing for an explicit sex scene that Lively had not originally consented to.
