Jonathan Majors Makes a Career Comeback. By Doing a Daily Wire Movie

Jonathan Majors at the Creed III red carpet premiere

The Daily Wire has allowed failed screenwriter, Ben Shapiro, the chance to make bad movies. In the process, they’ve used their platform to hire actors who have publicly been shamed for one reason or another. Now, they’re trying to make Jonathan Majors happen for their Right Wing audience.

Majors, who was once set up to be the next big bad of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was found guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment of his ex-girlfriend. It lost him his Marvel job, he fell out of favor with the general public, and the release of his film, Magazine Dreams, was a failure to launch his redemption tour. So of course the Daily Wire snatched him up.

Shapiro and company have been doing this with “canceled” actors. When Gina Carano was fired by Disney because of her inability to take accountability and her controversial social media posts, Shapiro adopted her as the poster child for the Daily Wire film devision. When her films didn’t do well? She was off the docket.

Now, Majors is moving to the DW train. An exclusive from Deadline revealed that the actor is preparing to shoot a movie for the news organization/film studio/platform for men with no brain cells starting next week in South Carolina.

Not to quote Tyra Banks but we truly were all rooting for Jonathan Majors. Prior to his conviction, fans everywhere were excited to see his rise to fame. He was talented, picked great projects, and was seemingly the next big thing. But then he assaulted and harassed Grace Jabbari and many, rightfully, did not want to support him as an actor.

The continued idea that the public “cancels” people for no reason is absurd. Majors wasn’t canceled. He was held accountable. And the fact that the Daily Wire doesn’t recognize that they weren’t just “shunned” by the public is…well, not surprising at all.

Majors’ new film will be an action movie that is said to be reminiscent of Red Dawn and Toy Soldiers. You know, two very different movies tonally but sure. Let’s make an 80s/90s action inspired film from opposing style standpoints. That will surely go over swimmingly.

The Daily Wire’s less than impressive slate of movies isn’t shocking, given Shapiro’s past and why he even started this Right Wing grift in the first place. But the failed screenwriter will continue to flush money down the drain with these movies and if “canceled” actors keep joining them, that’s on them and their career suicide.
