Bailey plays Dr. Henry Loomis in the upcoming film and while his character is a delightful nerd about dinosaurs, it has been revealed that Bailey has his own nerdy quality that fans can find adorable: His love for the clarinet! When the Bridgerton star found out that Alexandre Desplat was working on the score nearby him, he went to see Desplat in action. But it then led to Bailey getting to play for the film!

He was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon where he spoke with Fallon about the situation, explaining how he went to visit the studio to see Desplat working but eventually ended up getting to work on the music himself.

“As the week progressed,” he said, “I came back and I was like, ‘Can I bring my clarinet?’ I played the clarinet in school — I told you it was a nerdy story — and on the Friday, they said, ‘Look, you can come’.” Bailey shared that he thought he was going to get to play a note during the event but ended up getting to do an entire solo.

He told Fallon that he got to play the theme of his character.. “I just went, ‘Okay, let’s do it.’ And I ended up playing the theme of Dr. Henry Loomis, the character I play in a Jurassic film, on the clarinet, which is in the score.” And it all really meant a lot of Bailey, who shared “This really was the highlight of my career. The nerd in me erupted like Vesuvius”.

You can see Bailey bring Dr. Henry Loomis to life in the upcoming film Jurassic World Rebirth.
