JD Vance, part of a mixed-race family, endorses Americans avoiding neighbors who don’t speak the same language

I think everyone knew that United States President Donald Trump and his Republican friends were massive hypocrites when it comes to their belief systems, that is, if they have any at all. However, what many people weren’t aware of was the levels to which they can stoop to fit into that narrative.

Recently, JD Vance, the Vice President of the United States, who allegedly has no other job than to follow Trump’s orders all day, disclosed that he was selectively racist. He didn’t say it directly, of course, but he hinted at it through his comments. In an episode of Pod Force One with Miranda Devine, aired back in October but now gaining significant attention online, Vance discussed why it was “totally reasonable” and “acceptable” for Americans to want to live in neighbourhoods with people who look similar or speak the same language.

Agreeing with Devine’s assertion that the presence of individuals from other cultures in predominantly white neighbourhoods creates “division and hatred,” Vance stated that it is logical for American citizens to look at their neighbours and feel, “I want to live next to people with whom I have something in common. I don’t want to live next to four families of strangers.” He also credited the Biden administration for creating an immigration system in which such behaviour was acceptable. This allegation was certainly rich, coming from someone who is part of an administration that promotes hatred on religious, racial, and ethnic grounds.

JD Vance’s remarks about Americans having difficulty living in the same neighbourhood as those of different cultural backgrounds have drawn significant backlash. For those who weren’t aware, JD is married to Usha Vance, born Usha Bala Chilukuri, daughter of Hindu parents from Andhra Pradesh. This means Usha has Indian roots, making her part Indian and their children of mixed race, which paints JD Vance as a major hypocrite. People online have taken note of these aspects and engaged in discourse, especially on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter). Almost everyone on the platform seems to agree that Vance is engaging in something that could eventually come back to haunt him in the future. Others, per usual, are of course showing their unrelenting support to JD Vance and the Republican ideology, which often promotes division unless it personally affects them. A few are even recalling the infamous and uncomfortable encounter between Erika Kirk and JD Vance during a recent Turning Point event, suggesting that the two may get married in the future due to their shared Christian beliefs.
