It is Important to Remember Who the Hot Beatles Were

Harris Dickinson, Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, and Joseph Quinn in the Beatles biopic

Seeing the first look images of Sam Mendes’ four movies about the members of the Beatles has excited me. As someone who grew up listening to the Fab Four, seeing a movie split between the perspectives of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr excites me.

But more than that, I’m excited to see many realize one important fact about the Beatles: Paul McCartney and George Harrison are the hot ones. You might be thinking that it isn’t fair to judge the quality of the band by their looks. And I’m not. I am simply stating that there are two incredibly attractive members of the Beatles and they are Harrison and McCartney.

Many are looking at the images of Paul Mescal, Joseph Quinn, Harris Dickson, and Barry Keoghan and commenting on the looks of each as the Beatles. Mescal is transformed into McCartney and while the images is from their earlier album, bringing us the Beatlemania bowl cut, he still is proving my point about McCartney.

Both Keoghan and Dickinson are almost unrecognizable as Starr and Lennon, respectively, but the most fascinating transformation for me is Quinn as Harrison. For many, they just see Quinn but it made me realize how much Quinn looked like Harrison to begin with.

My point is that the hot Beatles remain hot. And the fun part of Keoghan’s role as Starr is that he has a similar energy to Ringo Starr in that the two both have a “vibe” that is intoxicating. Dickinson straight up doesn’t even look like himself as Lennon which is a good thing but is surprising! To me though, seeing both McCartney and Harrison come to life in these images and I love to see it.

All this to say that the hot Beatles remained
