I wish I knew how to quit this ‘Brokeback Mountain’ re-release merch!
Where were you the first time you saw Brokeback Mountain? Did it break you body and soul as it did many of us millennials? Well, lucky for us all, there is new merch from Focus Features for the film’s re-release for its 20th anniversary!
The film, which was released in theaters again, stars Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal as two cowboys who, while ranching one season, fall in love with each other. The Ang Lee film is touching, beautiful, and a love story that many continue to turn to. So the love that we all have for Brokeback Mountain continues on, even 20 years later. And that’s kind of amazing!
With the re-release though, Focus Features has released merchandise themed to the film! We at the Mary Sue are lucky enough to give one lucky fan the collection, which includes a pretty amazing denim jacket. The jacket is Wrangler denim jacket that fits right in with Jack and Ennis’ looks.
The back is a nod to the film and its most iconic scene. With “Brokeback Mountain” across the top, the bottom of the design says “I wish I knew how to quit you,” which Jack (Gyllenhaal) says to Ennis (Ledger) after years of the two going to Brokeback Mountain together. It also has a design of the mountain as well.
We also have two pins that the lucky winner will get! One is a cowboy hat pin that says “What you waitin’ for, Cowboy?”
The other pin is the iconic image of Ennis holding Jack, both wearing their cowboy hats, lovingly looking at each other.
