‘I can’t believe people’: Woman attends a wedding with her situationship, only to catch the bride locking lips with someone who isn’t the groom

User @kelsgordon had a very dramatic and crazy wedding experience that everyone should hear about. Taking to her personal TikTok account two days ago, Kelsey Gordon shared that her situationship had recently invited her to a wedding where she knew no one.

Feeling like a fish out of water, Kelsey, whose date had abandoned her at this point, decided to go to the washroom to touch up her makeup before the wedding ceremony. However, due to the lack of directions provided, she was unable find the washroom and instead opened the door to “some storage closet.” Inside the room, she saw the bride making out with a man in a tuxedo. At the moment, based on their clothing, she thought that the man was the groom, but later, when she went back to the ceremony, it was a different tale.

User @kelsgordon caught a bride cheating on her groom

When Kelsey Gordon accompanied her date to a wedding, she had not anticipated that things would take such a dramatic turn, but unfortunately, they did. So, as mentioned before, Kelsey caught the bride making out with a man in a closet. Initially, she had thought that he was the groom, but when she went inside, and the wedding ceremony started, she saw the same man walking as a groomsman, meaning that the bride was cheating on her would-be husband with him. Kelsey told her date what she saw, but he dismissed her and trivialised the incident.

In her TikTok video, Kelsey also highlighted that she locked eyes with the bride while she was walking down the aisle and then again when the wedding officiant asked if anyone had any objections to the union of the two people getting married. She added that after the marriage ceremony was over, she decided to tell the maid of honour what she had seen; however, she undermined and disregarded what she said, deeming it normal behaviour. Kelsey concluded the video by saying that she was mentally exhausted from the day’s activities and went home early. She also expressed ambiguity over her decision not to say anything to the groom and asked viewers if she should have taken that step.

People have differing views about Kelsey Gordon’s video

Kelsey Gordon’s video of her narrating her experiences at a wedding has struck a chord with people, with more than 100 K people watching it. The post has also received several comments. User @billies_comet23 writes, “I think you should’ve told him nobody deserves to be cheated on.” User @magmountains writes, “I would have told one of the other groomsmen. I would hope someone would tell me if I was the one being cheated on.”

While some people believe Kelsey should have said something about the bride cheating on the groom, others think her decision not to tell anyone was more suitable. User @a.naya.f writes, “As much as I wanna say she should’ve told the groom, she also doesn’t know any of these people. I too would’ve just kept to myself and just go home I have no ties to anyone there so why am I gonna cause drama for all of them especially if some already know? That’s their issue to handle.” User @semiaquaticeglayingmamal writes, “she did the right thing. you don’t know these people, it’s none of your business. especially since she’s not the only one that knows, leave the situation to work itself out.”

Is it common for people to cheat on their partners?

According to a piece published by Psychology Today on November 19, 2025, cheating has become increasingly common among individuals in today’s society. The article also points out that, despite this trend, many still choose to be in monogamous relationships. Additionally, it highlights the difficulty in researching cheating patterns, as very few people are willing to admit to such behaviours.

Along the same lines, an article from Vogue dated August 7, 2025, discusses possible reasons for cheating. Some of the factors that the piece identifies are “anger, self-esteem, lack of love, low commitment, need for variety, neglect, sexual desire, and situation or circumstance.”
