Harry Styles, who’s gone on to lead a successful solo career, is attracting fans as young as four years old. And people are taking notice. Mainly fans who also are trying to get tickets to his concert.

According to a report from People, a four-year-old named Scarlett became “obsessed with Harry Styles after hearing one song.” The report states that the child’s biggest dream is to meet Styles, which isn’t so far-fetched. Scarlett’s among Harry Styles’ top 0.1% listeners, is updated with his content, and keeps merch of him at home.

To this, a fan of Styles on X reacted, “Okay? Get in line.” Another fan of Styles chided that she’s “15 years in the game.” Those tickets are not easy to come by! For his Madison Square Garden residency, some of the tickets are selling for thousands of dollars. To be fair, Styles hasn’t had a tour since his Harry’s House tour and many of his fans have been waiting for his return.

To put things into perspective though, the four year old that is obsessed with Harry Styles’ is the same as as the amount of time between Harry’s House and his new album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally. Let that one sink in and realize just how scary the passage of time is…

What being ‘obsessed’ with Harry Styles actually looks like

In case anyone needs a refresher, “obsessed” was a common term when describing One Direction fans back in the 2010s. Concerts sold out within ten minutes. Directioners binged the video diaries, memorized every tidbit of information about the members by heart, and even mundane items—like carrots and spoons—had silly associations with the band members. If you know, you know—and if you don’t, think of it as our version of 2010s “brainrot” before the term even existed.

Many Directioners made a shameful ton of fanfics—some of which eventually became full-blown publications.

So, a four-year-old is obsessed with Harry Styles? It’s almost unbelievable when Anna Todd—formerly known as ‘imaginator1D’ on Wattpad—wrote a fanfic about Harry Styles and became a best-selling author. Whatever your thoughts are on Todd’s book, After, it doesn’t matter. But it bears the signature of every quintessential fanfic back in the 2010s—the messy buns, the skinny jeans, and a One Direction member as a romantic lead (renamed in the official publication).

Of course, not everyone has to produce best-selling novels to prove that they’re a huge fan of Styles. But if a four-year-old is described as obsessed with Harry Styles for listening to his music, what does that make every fan who’s been stanning him since One Direction’s X Factor years?

Perhaps a word worse than “obsessed” simply hasn’t been written yet.
