‘Elite level clapback’: Rep Becca Balint brutally trolls Pam Bondi as she refuses questions on Epstein

The House Judiciary Committee hearing conducted on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, was nothing short of a spectacle as United States Attorney General Pam Bondi repeatedly ignored, deflected, and refused to answer questions related to the Jeffrey Epstein case, including her department’s (Department of Justice) inadequacy in its ongoing investigation.
While Bondi may have been rigid on her Trump-worshipping stance during Wednesday’s hearing, the Democrats and a few Republicans who were seeing her after several weeks were in no mood to let her go away so easily. They repeatedly grilled, provoked, and trolled Bondi to such an extent that on multiple occasions, she had to pretend to be aloof and refer to her notes to answer their questions. And this continued for hours. If I were in her place, I would have cried after the hearing.
Representative Becca Balint went all guns ablazing on Pam Bondi
One of the videos that is going viral on social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), from Wednesday’s House Oversight Hearing involves United States Representative Becca Balint questioning Pam Bondi about the Jeffrey Epstein case, focusing especially on United States Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick’s relationship with the disgraced financier and sex offender.
Lutnick, who had previously lied about the timelines of his relationship with Epstein, was found to have visited his island in 2012, long after he was first convicted of sex crimes, as confirmed in an email communication released as part of the ongoing Epstein investigation and as recently admitted by him. In this context, Balint, during the hearing, asked Bondi to confirm if Donald Trump was aware of Lutnick’s ties to Epstein before he appointed him to his current position. Bondi, as usual, attempted to deflect the question, prompting Balint to repeatedly utter, “This is pathetic!”
The viral moment from Representative Becca Balint’s questioning of Pam Bondi, which has got everyone clapping
While the entirety of Becca Balint’s line of questioning against Pam Bondi has garnered social media acclaim, a specific moment from the event has particularly become a sensation, with many people dubbing it a “mic drop” moment.
Right after Pam Bondi, not so masterfully refused to answer questions related to Trump’s knowledge or lack thereof about Howard Lutnick’s association with Jeffrey Epstein, in a particularly heated moment, Balint referred to Bondi as “Secretary.” This compelled Bondi to correct her, remarking that she was the “Attorney General”, prompting Balint to further say, “My apologies, I couldn’t tell.”
Well, that should definitely hurt.
