A Denver woman was interested in a man she met while grabbing a beer, a shot, and a cigarette at a dive bar. Things went so well that she went home with him.

However, an awkward misstep ended up crushing the evening for a little bit.

TikToker Morgan Roos (@morganroos96) was having a great conversation at first with the man she met at the bar. He was eating up their conversation and enjoying every bit of what she put down. She went back to his place to be more intimate. But he asked a question that made things quite awkward.

All the events in her video, which earned 6.6 million views, took place over one weekend in 2025. She reposted and recounted the story again this year.

What happened at the dive bar?

Roos was at her second bar, trying to take it easy and taking part in a beer-shot-cigarette combo with her friends for St. Patrick’s Day weekend. She saw a man in the corner of her eye that she knew she wanted to talk to. At the time, Roos was losing at darts and wanted something different to do. So, she told her friends she’d be right back and went over to chat.

She scoped him out and started an exchange, which went spectacularly. They were having such a great conversation that Roos was sure he’d be interested in taking her back to his place.

“ He’s eating it up. He loves it. He loves it. I’m giving the eyes. I’m like, ‘ha, you’re so funny.’ He hasn’t said a single funny thing the entire [expletive] time, but I’m just trying to, I’m just trying to slam,” Roos explained.

They ended up talking until the lights in the bar came back on. This meant that it was probably time to go. The man asked her when he would be able to see her again, and she said she’d be going home with him.

So, they left the bar together and headed back to his place.

What happened at his place?

That night, they ended up staying together. During their time together, he asked her to say his name. That’s when Roos’s mind genuinely went blank.

“ He’s like. ‘You don’t remember my name?’ I was like, ‘Do you remember mine?’ He’s like, ‘Morgan.’ I was like, ‘God [expletive] you got me there? No, I don’t remember.’ … We’re trying to get back into it, but like it, it definitely kind of ruined the moment,” Roos recounted.

Despite this, she got back into it with the man, but recalled that the situation made him awkward. That was Friday night, and Roos knew she had a very big weekend ahead of her. The very next morning, she and her friends were back at it again, with Roos nursing a Pedialyte to get through the rest of the weekend.

Other St. Patrick’s Day events from a wild weekend

Later in the weekend, Roos ended up going to more bars and hanging out with even more people. During one encounter with a man who bought her a drink, she asked to take the second round.

Then, the man tried to order four different shots on top of her and her friend’s beverages. Roos shared a really good tip that she ended up using that Saturday: She turned off her card right when she was going to pay for the $120 worth of drinks he ordered, so her card would decline.

The 2025 drama begins

She met another guy in the friend group with whom she also hit it off. But, a girl whom she had hooked up with before found Roos’s flirtatious encounters with the different men problematic. She confronted Roos about it. Roos told her that they had all just had fun, and that she wasn’t even interested in the guy.

But, the girl ended up following her to the bathrooms later on and asking her point-blank why Roos wasn’t interested in a romantic relationship with her. Roos told her that she wasn’t really trying to date anyone at that point and was just having fun being single. She apologized if she led the woman on, saying that it wasn’t her intention. The girl then angrily opened the stall door, exposing Roos’s “bits” in the middle of the restrooms, before storming off. Roos admitted that she saw this as a power play but found the entire situation incredibly awkward.

Things slow down, but the drama picks up again on the dance floor

Then, she ended up heading out. She saw the girl who had just stormed off and realized that she seemed a lot more relaxed after the confrontation. So, Roos assumed the drama was over. That’s when she tried to dance on Roos. Then, she tried to kiss her in the middle of the dance floor. Roos refused the kiss, so the girl once again negatively reacted and asked Roos what was going on with them.

Eventually, Roos decided that it was best for her to leave. She went across the street to a bar called Tony Tenderonis. She met a woman there whom she was interested in, only for that woman to have a husband. Despite this, the woman kissed her anyway, which Roos questioned. That’s when her husband ended up coming out, seeing it, and having a few tense words with his wife. So, Roos was 0-3 on Saturday for hookups after she noped out of that situation.

That’s essentially how Roos’s night closed out. After a silent Uber ride back home shared with friends and other people, she definitely needed a break from the drama.

TikTokers call the whole situation a ‘St. Patrick’s day scandal’

Viewers who just clocked in to see all of Roos’s video, alongside others from 2025, started referring to the entire weekend as the “St. Patty’s scandal,” or the “St. Patrick’s day scandal.” The number of crazy situations that Roos got into in just one weekend, especially on Saturday night, was, according to some, genuinely diabolical.
