‘Deficient, defective, and broken’: Ex-ICE employee reveals chilling orders to train cadets in unconstitutional practices

An individual formerly associated with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is making some bombshell revelations about the government agency, particularly regarding its inner workings.
In a video that is going viral on social media platforms, especially on X (formerly Twitter), Ryan Schwank shares his experiences working as an ICE employee. He describes his experiences of working as unpleasant, particularly towards the end of his time there. Schwank reveals that the training provided to recruits at the ICE academy was inadequate and flawed. Additionally, he mentions that when he took on the role of an instructor at the academy, he received “secretive orders” from superiors to teach cadets to “violate the Constitution.”
Former ICE employee spills the beans on his past workplace, and some people are shocked
Many people were dissatisfied with the low training standards of ICE agents, particularly in light of their recent actions. However, some people continued to keep faith in the organisation. Recently, many of these individuals and groups had their beliefs challenged by Ryan Schwank, a former ICE employee who is narrating the story of his experiences at the organisation.
Schwank, who felt “duty-bound” to share his thoughts about working at ICE, said, “I swore an oath to uphold the Constitution when I joined ICE on August 1st, 2021, as an assistant chief counsel. I followed that oath for four and a half years, working side by side with ICE officers. And I followed it when I resigned on February 13, 2026, a little over a week ago, so that I could speak to you today. I am here because I am duty-bound to report the legally required training program at the ICE Academy is deficient, defective, and broken.”
Ryan Schwank says ICE training institutes repeatedly promoted flunking the Constitution
While he was associated with ICE, Ryan Schwank says he was asked to teach “the law” to new cadets at the ICE Academy in Glynco, Georgia, where ICE is training its “new, inexperienced recruits.” He continues by mentioning that he decided to take on the role after having the necessary qualifications required for it, but realised on the first day at his job the corrupt nature of these institutions. Speaking of the same, Schwank said, “On my first day, I received secretive orders to teach new cadets to violate the Constitution by entering homes without a judicial warrant.”
Schwank also added that for the last 5 months, he watched ICE “dismantle the training program”, cutting 240 hours of “vital classes from a 584-hour program.” He highlighted that these classes were the ones that teach the Constitution, the legal system, firearms training, the use of force, lawful arrests, proper detention, and the limits of officers’ authority.
