David and Victoria Beckham worry for son Brooklyn’s future as a secret pre-nup ‘binds’ him to the Peltz empire
There’s been a lot of public drama concerning the Beckhams in the last couple of weeks that has amused people. However, as it turns out, this drama isn’t new and has, in fact, existed for years.
There were a few clear signs that the Beckham family had a rift with their eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, but it was only at the end of last year that the public got full confirmation. In December, reports surfaced that David and Victoria Beckham had unfollowed Brooklyn. Cruz Beckham, the third eldest child, denied these claims by posting a screenshot of a Daily Mail article, stating, “NOT TRUE…My mum and dad would never unfollow their son.. Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I.”
As more information came to light, it was revealed that Brooklyn allegedly blocked his family members after his mother, Victoria, liked one of his cooking videos, which breached a legal requirement that the Beckhams only interact with Brooklyn through lawyers. As speculation about the family drama grew, it reached a tipping point in January when Brooklyn shared a series of statuses on Instagram about his experiences with his parents that led him to cut them off. One of his main accusations was that they were not supportive of his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz, and were actively trying to make things difficult for them. One part of his full statement said:
My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped. My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour, despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress. Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children.”
Brooklyn Beckham also put forth other accusations against them, including claiming they were creating a facade of a happy family in front of others and placing brand value above everything else. He wrote in his statement:
My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first. Family “love” is decided by how much you post on social media, or how quickly you drop everything to show up and pose for a family photo opp, even if it’s at the expense of our professional obligations.”
After all this, The Sun, in an article published on January 21, 2026, is now revealing a new side of the Beckham family drama, emphasising that Brooklyn is controversially linked to the Peltz family in a way that could negatively impact him, causing worry among his parents. The article states that Brooklyn signed a “rigid” pre-nup with Nicola ahead of their wedding that states he wouldn’t attain any of the wealth possessed by the Peltz family in the event of a divorce. It also entails that whatever wealth Brooklyn and Nicola earn as a couple, he will only leave with half of it. While this settlement seems fair on paper, according to The Sun, the Beckhams are concerned that Brooklyn wouldn’t be left with much if they divorce, as he is actively distancing himself from his family.
