I’m very eager for Charlie Kaufman’s new stop-motion film (and first animated film) Anomalisa. I’m especially struck by how detailed the motions, expressions, and mannerisms of the characters were in the trailer. This featurette, titled “Crafting Anomalisa” takes us through the 1000+ faces, costumes, and props that were made for the 118,089 frames of film.

It never ceases to amaze me now much effort and craft goes into stop-motion and I feel like Kaufman and his style (lots and lots of detail, existential crisis, etc.) fit really well with the medium. Anomalisa comes into select theaters December 30th. Will you be checking it out?
