Alright what the weird celebrity couples is going on?
Some celebrity pairings make sense. Others? Not so much. Then came the day where every odd pairing known to man popped up at the same time and had everyone online asking what was going on.
The end of July came with an influx of celebrity relationship drama. It started with Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas holding hands after months of the two hinting that they were a thing. Then came Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau having dinner together shortly after Perry announced her break-up from Orlando Bloom, and then Pamala Anderson and Liam Neeson announced their showmance from The Naked Gun.
Normally, one of these couples wouldn’t be a “weird” thing. It’d be a “huh, okay” moment and we’d all get to move on. But when all of this came out on the same day, we were shocked. These pairings mixed with Danny Ramirez maybe dating Jessica Alba and we’re all just kind of wondering what in the early 00s is going on.
It has been a minute since we had really weird pairings to talk about and while none of these actors getting together are particularly “odd,” the Katy Perry of it all is enough to have fans confused enough for the rest of them.
We knew that Cruise and de Armas were potentially a thing for a while so it is just the picture of them holding hands that is shocking. But even with all this hitting the internet on the same day, one of the new couples is really cute.
One pairing is sweet actually
Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson haven’t had the easiest time with love in the spotlight. Neeson has been single publicly since the tragic passing of his wife, Natasha Richardson in 2009. With Anderson, her past dating life and marriage has been the topic of many tabloid stories and it has been wonderful seeing her return to the spotlight in The Last Showgirl and now The Naked Gun.
A source close to the couple spoke with PEOPLE about their new relationship and said that the two are together. “It’s a budding romance in the early stages. It’s sincere, and it’s clear they’re smitten with each other.” The source went on to say that both Neeson and Anderson are “enjoying each other’s company.”
Whatever is going on with these celebrity couples, there is a lot happening all on one day and it was really fun to see.
So whatever is really going on….at least everyone seems happy?
