Alright let’s talk about Tom Cruise’s love life
The true millennial curse I remembering too much about Tom Cruise. I do fear I will never NOT think about him jumping on that couch in front of Oprah. So the Ana de Armas of it all should…not be surprising.
Ana de Armas and Tom Cruise began turning heads earlier this year when it was rumored they were dating. Then, when a see of slightly odd celebrity couples all popped up, the two were spotted holding hands. PEOPLE spoke with an “exclusive source” about their relationship and their recent trip to New England together.
“She loves spending time with Tom,” the insider told the publication and went on to talk about the movie, Deeper, that the two are working on together. “Now, they are still very focused on kicking off their new project together. It’s a very important project for both of them. They’ll have an intense shooting schedule, but they are ready.”
They said that de Armas is “both excited and nervous” to work with Tom Cruise. “It’s her first time working with Tom and she wants to bring her best,” they said. “She knows Tom has high standards on set, but she’s ready for the challenge.”
All of these rumors are taking me back in time to the 90s. Throughout the first 10 years of my life, I was captivated by Tom Cruise’s marriage to Nicole Kidman. I remember the Eyes Wide Shut days. That was so much of my introduction to Cruise as a person. It was Top Gun, Cocktail, Jerry Maguire, and him and Nicole Kidman.
Their divorce led to the tabloid era of the mid 2000s when Cruise started his relationship with Katie Holmes. That mixed with his antics and his religion led to the mixed reaction to Cruise that you see today. But his public connection to actresses is fascinating to breakdown.
With de Armas, he was photographed holding her hand. Prior to de Armas, rumored swirled about Cruise and his Mission: Impossible co-star Hayley Atwell but she announced her engagement and subsequent wedding in 2023. So while the two are being “private” about their relationship, there is no confirmation that Cruise and de Armas are actually currently together.
In the meantime, let’s keep the couches away from Cruise this time.
