Texas Woman Makes Several Dinner Reservations. They Kept Falling Through Because of Someone: “I Can Respect an Evil Genius”
One man was behind it all along.
Ken Eurich (@dumbrblnd) was having trouble with her dinner reservation. Every time she told restaurant employees about her supposed reservation, they informed Eurich that she had no booking with them. It turns out one man had been responsible for her dinner woes.
“Here’s the thing, I can respect an evil genius,” Eurich told TikTok. She explained that for the past year, her dinner reservations have been getting cancelled without explanation. She adds, “I show up, and I’m like, ‘I have a dinner reservation.’ And they’re like, ‘No, you don’t, sorry.’ Like, it even happened to me last year on my birthday.”
It’s one thing for a date to bail out and leave this Michigan woman waiting for nothing, but another to have a birthday dinner go to the shredder. Unlike spontaneous dates, birthday dinners are often planned, and the celebrant has company to entertain and feed. Eurich found it difficult to believe that she didn’t have a dinner reservation for her birthday. She argued with the staff, and they told her, “I mean, we could fit you in, but no.” Thankfully, the restaurant still had tables and chairs available. However, her dinner reservations were getting mysteriously canceled.
Eurich said she’s not the type of person to read the fine print on the app. She knows she made a reservation and got to the bottom of it. When her plans were cancelled for a third time, Eurich decided to investigate what was going on with a fine-toothed comb.
“It was my ex from a couple of years ago,” Eurich stated. She said her ex, who helped her create her dinner reservation app account, might be the culprit. Eurich alleged, “This is the person who makes my doctor’s appointments for me.”
A diabolical scheme to cancel her dinner plans
She continued, “Tell me why he put his email down, put my phone number and name. So, anytime he got a notification on his email that I made a dinner reservation, this [expletive] would cancel it.” Eurich further alleged that the man has also been canceling her dinner dates for a year because he had access to her Red Table app. Intrusively cancelling an ex’s dinner reservation can be inconvenient, but it’s no match against this man’s real-life Obsession case with a woman in his immersion program. Nevertheless, Eurich thought she was losing her mind until she found out her ex had been cancelling her bookings. While she is upset about the situation, she’s also impressed that he pulled the scheme off for so long.
“And now, I’m not gonna lie, I’m pissed that I didn’t think of that first, because it’s brilliant,” she commented. The video went viral on social media, making the rounds on TikTok. Social media users weighed in, many of whom commended Eurich’s ex for his petty yet clever prank.
One commenter wrote, “Girl where are you finding these VILLAINS?” Others thought her ex was diabolical but didn’t take the prank too seriously. Another social media user said they could imagine her ex giggling every time he hit the cancel button for Eurich’s dinner plans.
Although many were amused, one commenter was concerned by the turn of events. They wrote, “Why is nobody treating this like the red flag that it is???” While he wasn’t breaking into his ex’s home like this man from Ohio, it’s not a prank that sits well with everyone.
