Dallas Woman Goes to a Wedding. Then a Woman in the Back Claims the Groom Got Her Pregnant and Gave Her an STD: ‘The Bride is Crying’

Wedding Drama

A TikTok user from Dallas has some juicy gossip she wants to share, and it’s from a wedding she recently attended with a close friend.

In a TikTok video posted last week, @lauren_thelawyer explained that she attended a wedding with a friend and didn’t know the bride and groom. She mentioned that everything started off normally, but within the first hour, problems began. Lauren said that when the officiant asked if anyone objected to the marriage, a young lady stood up and responded yes, causing confusion among the guests.

Lauren mentions in her TikTok video that after the officiant at the wedding she was attending with a friend asked everyone in the audience if they had an objection to the marriage of the couple, the bride started to make a funny gesture towards the audience, as if she was hoping someone would object. However, while the bride’s intention may have been to have some fun, Lauren says that at the “last second,” a young girl at the back stood up and said she objected to the wedding.

A user is talking about the drama that went down at a recent wedding she attended

Lauren highlights that when the incident happened, she was blindsided and shocked, so much so that she grabbed her friend’s knee. She then provides a disclaimer stating that a significant portion of what she shares in the video about the incident is based on knowledge she gained after it happened, and that she had no idea what was going on while it was happening.

Lauren says that apparently the groom’s brother got married about a year ago and, at that time, he threw a bachelor party. During the party, the groom, whose wedding Lauren was attending, allegedly cheated on his then-fiancée, now bride, with “some random chick.”

Lauren then mentions what the girl who stood up said about the groom. Lauren said that the woman told her that during the bachelor party trip, the groom got her pregnant. Not only that, but he also allegedly gave her an STD. Talking about it, Lauren says in her video, “he gave her an itchy, burning, scratchy.” Lauren also claims the groom paid the woman to keep her quiet and maintain “discretion.” She states that the woman ultimately terminated the pregnancy and that the groom paid for the costs and gave her a stipend for about a year.

Lauren then says that somewhere along the way, the groom forgot to pay her stipend, which is why she was at the wedding. She says that after all the information about the groom and the young woman came out, everyone split up, then returned after an intermission. After they came back, the groom allegedly denied all the allegations made by the young woman and claimed she was mentally unfit.

He also apparently told everyone that he suspected the woman was part of a social media trend in which people attend weddings to try to ruin them. Lauren concludes her story by saying that the couple eventually got married, which she found quite shocking, as did many others present.

People in the comments section of the video are also in disbelief

Owing to its uniqueness, @lauren_thelawyer’s TikTok video, in which she discusses attending a wedding where a young woman objected to the marriage of the bride and groom, has gained significant attention. As of this writing, it has over 3 million views along with thousands of likes, comments, shares, and saves.

User @lolo0930 said, “I can’t believe she agreed to go forward.” User @iseeyoumonica wrote, “They’ll be divorced in a year.” User @silnettra commented, “As the bride I would have had to leave and do my research cause ain’t no way I just heard that and gonna ignore…..nobody gonna have that much detail if it’s not true.” User @12345678910abcdef04 remarked, “Ohhh it is my dream to be at a wedding where that happens. Preferably a wedding where I don’t know the people, like happens to yourself.”

What happens when someone objects to a marriage?

According to an article published by Brides on November 3, 2025, if someone objects to a marriage after the officiant says the “Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace” line, it is recommended to take a brief pause.

During that pause, the officiant should personally talk to the bride and groom and ask if they still want to go through with the marriage. If they agree, the ceremony resumes as usual. If they do not, the marriage ceremony does not proceed.
