Turning Point Talking Head Defends Michael Jackson on Social Media

Alt-right commentator Jack Posobiec defends Michael Jackson

Alt-right political commentator Jack Posobiec came out in defense of Michael Jackson. The ‘King of Pop’ has been accused of being a child predator on multiple occasions. Posobiec posted on X, “Michael Jackson was innocent.” Many appear to be in agreement with the claim.

But then, in a follow-up tweet, Posobiec theorized, “The Hollywood pedos hate Michael Jackson because he refused to be one too. Understand how this works.” To say Jackson was innocent is vague enough but also defensible where legalities are concerned. But saying that Jackson was “hated” by Hollywood elite because he refused to be a pedophile is a stretch.

Needless to say, it’s a tinfoil hat moment from Posobiec—not that he doesn’t make them on a regular basis. But defending Jackson, who has been posthumously sued by his alleged victims, definitely makes the move controversial.

Tinfoil hat conspiracies about Michael Jackson

Posobiec wouldn’t be the only one making claims that Michael Jackson is innocent online. Right-wing podcaster Candace Owens implied that there was a ploy against Jackson and that the reports against him were fabricated. She would further theorize that the families involved in accusing Jackson of hurting their children had the financial incentive to do so.

There have also been conspiracy theories online that point to Jackson building his Neverland Ranch to “protect kids” from going to Jeffrey Epstein’s Little Saint James.

Like Posobiec’s claim, these are all unproven—Jackson may have built Neverland for the sake of whimsy, but it doesn’t mean he was deliberately trying to save kids from human trafficking either. Besides, portraying Jackson as a heroic figure against sex offender Jeffrey Epstein is an easy feat, given Epstein’s crimes.

Nevertheless, Jackson isn’t free of suspicion. The deceased pop star was plagued with allegations of sexual abuse against children through the years. Even post-humously, Jackson has been accused by multiple people of sexual abuse.

Jackson’s suspicious behavior to children

In 1993, Michael Jackson was sued for molesting Jordan Chandler, who was 13 years old at the time. The singer was not found guilty because he settled the suit.

Gavin Arvizo, a 13-year-old cancer survivor, accused Jackson of molestation. He was featured in the documentary Living With Michael Jackson.

A disturbing clip from the documentary, where Arvizo said that Jackson encouraged him to sleep in the same bed as him, was aired. When Jackson was asked if he thinks it’s appropriate to be sleeping beside children, Jackson brushed it off.

“I feel sorry for them because they’re judging someone who really wants to help people. Why can’t you share your bed? The most loving thing you can do is to share your bed with someone,” Jackson said unapologetically. Arvizo would later claim that Jackson molested him sometime between February 21 and March 12, 2003.

Jackson was arrested and released on a $3 million bail. On June 14, 2005, Jackson was acquitted of the charges.

In 2019, Leaving Neverland, a documentary focused on Wade Robson and James Safechuck—two of Jackson’s supposed victims—came out. Decades after the singer’s death, the two victims recounted their alleged assault by Jackson as children. Robson claimed that Jackson performed oral sex on him at seven-years-old. Meanwhile, Safechuck, at ten years old, was shown by Jackson how to self-pleasure.

Robson and Safechuck will be going on trial over their allegations against Jackson in November 2026. It would be too soon for any streamer or political commentator to say for certain that Jackson is innocent.
