Han Solo and Chewbacca in 'Solo: A Star Wars Story"

#MakeSolo2Happen Is Trending on Twitter, as it SHOULD

There are those of us who love Solo: A Star Wars Story, and then there are those who have no joy. (Just kidding! Some people don’t like this movie, and that’s fine!) The point is that the prequel film that gave us a look at a younger Han Solo is relatively divisive among fans, but what worked with Solo really worked and was absolutely incredible—mainly, Han and Chewie meeting for the first time, Donald Glover’s Lando Calrissian, and everything to do with Erin Kellyman’s Enfys Nest!

So now that we’ve been waiting since 2018 for any sort of news on another movie about the famed smuggler, fans are itching to have another installment to the Han Solo story, which includes #MakeSolo2Happen trending on Twitter around the anniversary of the film’s release.

ComicBook.com collected some of the best tweets out there asking for Solo 2 to happen, and look: The internet is right about this one.

And for those who want to know “how” a sequel would work, just think about all the characters we could follow from the movie. Even better would be a Disney+ series that explored Han, Lando, Enfys Nest, and more as they went about their time in the galaxy prior to Han meeting up with Luke, Obi-Wan, and Leia.

I would love a sequel to Solo mainly because I liked Ehrenreich’s take on Han. He still had the charm that we knew and loved from the original trilogy, but also brought us a look at how he became the grumpy man that Luke Skywalker had to fly with to get Leia from the Death Star. There is just so much to Han’s story that we still don’t know, and they set up a pretty exciting reveal for Emilia Clarke’s Qi’ra and her involvement with Darth Maul, and then we just … haven’t gotten the payoff for it yet.

So, giving us a Solo 2 (or even a series) would give fans that insight and finally make us all happy. Alden Ehrenreich did a good job of making Han Solo his own character while still bringing elements of Harrison Ford’s performance to the character, and I just want him to explore this world a bit more. But even if Solo 2 doesn’t happen, I do want there to be an Enfys Nest story because they just DROPPED that storyline in our laps and then said “okay bye” without exploring it further, and that just doesn’t feel fair to any of us.
