Parkland Student Sarah Chadwick Comes for the NRA’s Dana Loesch in On-Point Parody Video

The best thing about teen activists is that they are not the least bit intimidated by so-called adults who don’t understand basic things like the Constitution. Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student, Sarah Chadwick, responded with an on-point parody of NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch’s recent ad in order to promote the March For Our Lives.

Loesch’s original ad called out “every lying member of the media,” “every Hollywood phony,” and “role model athletes who use their free speech to alter and undermine” the U.S. flag. The ad ends with Loesch flipping an hourglass and declares, “Your time is running out.”

Way to try to latch on to that Time’s Up momentum. *sigh*

Chadwick had some things to say in response, and so she created an ad, similar in style, clapping back at Loesch and all her willfully ignorant claims. Chadwick says, “We’ve had enough of the lies, the sanctimony, the ignorance, the hatred, the pettiness, the NRA. We are done with your agenda to undermine the safety of our nation’s youth, and the individual voices of the American people.”

She continues, calling out “every government official unwilling to take action and make change,” “everyone with an ‘A-plus’ rating from the National Rifle Association” and “the politicians who would rather watch America’s youth die than get assault rifles off shelves.”

And yes, she specifically comes for Loesch saying, “To every spokeswoman who uses her free speech to alter and undermine what our flag represents…your time is running out.”

I’ve gotta say, my favorite thing is the look of satisfaction on Chadwick’s face at the end of the ad. She knows she’s in the right, and she knows that she was just unafraid to speak up against one of the most powerful organizations in the country. She should be proud because that is a beautiful thing.

If you want to help her and her fellow Parkland students with their upcoming march, check out the official website to find out more.
