Dichen Lachman Joins the Supergirl Cast as Roulette, a Golden Age DC Villain

Recommended Videos

Thanks to some covert photos of Dichen Lachman on set for the second season of Supergirl, featuring her wearing a long red dress reminiscent of the character Roulette from DC Comics, many fans have already speculated that she’ll be playing the iconic gambling mastermind. Now, ComicBook.com has confirmed fan suspicions: Supergirl has indeed enlisted Lachman to play the role.

Here’s the official character description of Roulette, via the network: “Based on the classic DC Comics character, Roulette runs an underground alien fight club in National City and she is eager to get Supergirl in the ring.” It’s not yet clear which Supergirl storylines Roulette might infiltrate, but we can bet on one thing (pardon the pun): Lachman is more than capable of handling the part.

She’s no stranger to genre fiction and superhero fare, having already seen the Marvel end of things on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Others might know her best from her role on Dollhouse; she’s also been on The 100, Being Human, and even had a bit part in Torchwood. So, yeah, she’s definitely done a fair bit of sci-fi and fantasy TV shows, and she’s totally rocked it at lots of different kinds of roles. It’ll be great to see her take on this one!

Supergirl‘s second season premiere airs this October 10th at 8 pm ET/PT on the CW.
