Preview These Two 80s-tastic Tracks Off the Stranger Things Soundtrack

We’ve been gushing about Stranger Things a lot around here, and with the soundtrack that’s coming out tomorrow, you should probably have expected some hype over these two track previews. Pitchfork recently shared “She’ll Kill You,” one of the 36 tracks on the full Stranger Things Vol. 1 soundtrack. Keep in mind that this soundtrack is all original music, mostly background or ambient music from the show itself.

You might recognize this track from the scene at the ravine where . It’s totally thrilling, and matched the scene quite well. Out of that context, it certainly keeps a lot of that same feeling as well.

The next track, “A Kiss,” was shared with Entertainment Weekly.

I’m pretty sure this one’s from the show’s second episode, where Nancy makes out with Steve in his room while .

There’s been a lot said about how much this show has been inspired by the 80s. The soundtrack indeed contributes to a lot of that, as you can hear for yourself. It’s very synth-heavy, which you may or may not know is very emblematic of the music at the time.
