Planned Parenthood is done playing defense. Remember those videos that came out “proving” that the organization was all about selling baby parts or whatever the hell? Yeah, those have already been thoroughly debunked. But Planned Parenthood isn’t satisfied this time with letting stupidity speak for itself. They are now suing the “Center for Medical Progress,” the group responsible for the falsified videos.

Beth Parker, Planned Parenthood’s chief legal council, is bringing the suit because the activities of the CMP have cost Planned Parenthood millions of dollars, and the CMP came into Planned Parenthood to film under false pretenses in the first place.

According to The Daily Dot:

Led by noted anti-abortionist David Daleiden, CMP’s members allegedly created “fake companies” and “fake identifications” to deceive Planned Parenthood’s doctors into meetings, during which the activists conducted “large-scale illegal taping,” according to court documents.

The lawsuit alleged CMP engaged in “illegal conduct that includes violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act (RICO) and engaging in wire fraud, mail fraud, invasion of privacy, illegal secret recording, and trespassing,” Planned Parenthood said in a statement.

In addition to naming Daleiden, the lawsuit names Troy Newman, Albin Rhomberg, Sandra Merritt, Gerardo Lopez, and Philip Cronin as part of, as Parker puts it, the “complex criminal enterprise conceived and executed by anti-abortion extremists.”

Here’s hoping Planned Parenthood gets a huge amount of money when this is all over.
