A Super-Cut of (Almost) Every Movie Reference Pixar Has Made

Part of what makes Pixar movies fun for a wide age range is their frequent inclusion of references to classic movies — jokes that kids might not notice, but that older viewers absolutely will. Pixar enthusiast Jorge Luengo Ruiz has cut together a lengthy video illustrating examples of times when Pixar has alluded to other famous movies, from Star Wars to Vertigo to Citizen Kane. Some of these references seem more tenuous than others — plus I bet there are even more references that Ruiz didn’t catch, in spite of how incredibly comprehensive this super-cut seems to be.

Anything you think Ruiz missed? He notes in the description that he didn’t include A Bug’s Life because “the plot is a tribute to Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai.” To that I can only say, why didn’t I notice that before?!!!
