We told you a while back that ABC Family is developing a new comedy based on the childhood of Nicki Minaj. Well, if you know a young girl between the ages of 11 and 13 who could play a young Nicki, ABC Family (which will be known as Freeform as of January) is looking for her!
Minaj will be Executive Producing the show about her childhood in Queens with her Trinidadian family. They’re holding an open call for young Nicki Minaj from now through Sunday, November 15th! All you need to do if there’s a young girl in your life who’d be perfect for this is download the free Disney Applause app. Once on there, click on “ABC Family’s Online Open Call” and follow the instructions. It’s a pretty sweet opportunity for a young female performer of color!
