Nerd Girl With Amazing Sense of Humor Takes her Calculator to Prom

According to Tumblrer I Ship It Like UPS, as documented by a suite of photos, nobody asked her to prom, so she decided to take somebody who’d had a real and lasting effect on her academic progress: her TI-84.

I have to admit: it’s a pretty snazzy dresser.

Note the photobomb in the dance pic.

This girl is awesome. Her date is pretty hot, too.

So I guess none of the boys added up. I did hear that TI was a great dancer, which makes sense. I mean it has great rhythm, algorithm and logarithm. My mom says it is a sine of the times. I would say that dating a calculator is irrational, but my wife says I don’t get the point.
I better stop, my jokes are getting derivative, and only play to the lowest common denominator.

I’m super geeky but this is sad. Good for her being cool with it but God I hope she becomes someone super rich and badass famous to make up for this.

I get that this was supposed to be cute and/or humorous, and good for her for having such a positive attitude but this post just makes me feel sad for her. Where are her friends!

Photobombing in the last picture, according to her tumblr page. :)

Why be sad for her? She’s already ‘got it’, in a way that even most of us adults do not. A girl at her age so secure with herself that she doesn’t care what others think of her? She’s already matured way above her peers, she can only grow more as a person at this point.

Good for her. But pooh on the young teens who have no appreciation for geek girls…

AMEN! Geeky girls are fricken awesome! I’m one of her friends, and I didn’t even realize she was this geeky until now, but it just makes me respect her that much more :)

The TI-84.Plus Silver Edition. Let it be known that the girl has a good taste in calculators.

She brought a calculator and dressed it up as her date. Clearly, she DOES care what people think of her.

She just won all the awards.

  • None Ya

Mind you, this girl already goes to the nerdiest school in our state. The fact that, even in here, no one asked her is quite sad. Respectable for the idea, but sad fact.

…*coughs loudly* i am one of her friends

That calculator’s a greater man than half the boys in her class – maybe even some of the faculty.

This is the saddest/cutest thing I’ve ever read.
