Look, we know we serve a diverse audience, and one of the ways in which it is diverse is in interest. And so it has come time for me to apologize, as I have done to folks who aren’t huge fans of Harry Potter or those who weren’t particularly interested in The Avengers or Game of Thrones. But when large events in fandoms are imminent, it can’t but help coloring the news in a certain direction.

This is a roundabout way of saying Doctor Who is back in less than a week, people, so buckle up. Below the jump is the first episode of Pond Life, a five part webseries intended to ring in the new season of the show. Mata Hari guest stars. Enjoy.
