I always knew fairy tales are much darker than Disney would have you believe, but man, illustrator Rachael Wise takes it to a new level with her series of F***ed Up Tales. I’ve pulled a few of my favorites to show you, and if you like the shock to your inner child you can see the rest at her Tumblr.

Warning: The last pic features nudity (non-sexualized; it’s just the Little Mermaid without her Disney-created seashell bra) and some gore. Stop at Snow White if you’d rather not see it.
