Watch Matt Smith’s Silent Thank You To Doctor Who

I freely admit I wasn’t as emotionally invested in Matt Smith’s Doctor as I was Christopher Eccleston or David Tennant, but this tugs at my heart strings. When we first heard he was leaving the show, the BBC promised a special goodbye and thank you video, and it turns out he filmed it in Detroit, Michigan during a break on Ryan Gosling’s How To Catch A Monster.

In other brief Doctor Who news, Jenna-Louise Coleman has decided to officially change her credited screen name to Jenna Coleman. And my fast-typing hands thank her for it.

I actually quite like Matt’s Doctor -not necessarily how he’s been WRITTEN mind you, but I think Matt did his best with what he was given to work with. I’ll be sad to see him go.
Also, I think his new haircut upped his hotness factor by about 100! It REALLY suits him!

Why does Fans have a little fang face on it?
And why does he not thank River Song?

Yeah, sorry, but if you weren’t emotionally invested in the 11th Doctor, then you NEED TO REALIZE how wrong you were. He’s the Doctor who has gotten on the cover of American magazines, and made the show more popular than it’s ever been. If you can’t connect with that Doctor, then what’s the point of you calling yourself a Doctor Who fan?
