Given that Chris Pine and Idris Elba are about to face off as enemies in Star Trek: Beyond, I guess it makes sense that they filmed a video in which they pretend to hate one another in real life. This hilarious-yet-bewildering video hopes to benefit several charities, at any rate. The pair is promoting the Omaze giveaway, which encourages Star Trek fans to donate to a variety of charities in exchange for Trekkie merch and a chance to be selected for a walk-on role in Beyond.
How did Elba and Pine come up with the idea for this video, though? Surely the pair of them get on swimmingly in real life … right?
