Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor Visits Sesame Street To Explain “Career,” Our Hearts Explode

This isn’t Ms. Sotomayor’s first Sesame Street appearance. That was last year, when she decided the very important case of B. Bear v. Goldilocks. This time, she’s attending to even more weighty matters.

“Abby, pretending to be a princess is fun, but it is definitely not a career!” A-freaking-men!

I kinda think I need to see this B. Bear v. Goldilocks thing.

I love the message, but Justice Sotomayor is so stodgy! I don’t watch Sesame Street anymore, but are all the guests so blah? I always liked that the guests talked to kids not down to them and this is a little disappointing. Of course I guess many of the visitors to Sesame Street are ‘career’ (ha!) performers.

Well, they can’t all be Neil Patrick Harris.
She’s much less stodgy than Ralph Nader was. (“A consumer advocate is a person in your neighborhood….”)

“That sounds important!” “IT IS.” Awesome.

Wow. In France, you wouldn’t see a judge of that importance (a judge from the “Cour de Cassation” or the “Conseil Constitutionnel”) on any children program. You would’nt even see one on TV (except maybe on the parlementary channel – yes, we have one…). American Supreme Court judges are cool (or at least Sotomayor is).

But she isn’t cool as Jack Black was. Octagons for the win.

Gee, I wonder why they didn’t invite Justice Scalia to explain “career” to the girl puppet…

What do Oscar the Grouch, Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas, and Samuel Alito all have in common?

All have a sour disposition as a result of having a fist permanently shoved up their asses.
