Things We Saw Today: Space Jam 2 Has a Release Date!

Recommended Videos

The divisive 90s movie classic Space Jam that has defined many a kids life, was reported to be getting a sequel last year and now we know that the date for its release will be July 16, 2021.

Not only am I hyped about this movie coming out (because I am a Space Jam apologist feel free to @ me because I have no shame in that) but my girl LOLA BUNNY has second billing on the poster from Spring Hill Entertainment, AS SHE DESERVES. I feel like Lola Bunny has always gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to respect, but I’m hoping that the new movie will find a balance between the cool swagger she had in the first movie and the “looney” personality people want her to have.

Can Space Jam 2 be better than Space Jam? Easily, so I’m crossing my fingers that this will give a new generation of kids something to slam about.
