Eric Dane’s Last Interview Is Poignant. And Netflix Is Streaming It For His Fans
Netflix has Eric Dane’s final interview and it is absolutely heartbreaking. The streamers popular program, Famous Last Words is streaming now and they posted a clip with the beloved actor on social media.
There is not a dry eye in the house after hearing him talk about his marriage to Rebecca Gayheart. So many other topics come up during his famous last words, and they all deserve to be heard in full. But, we thought that reading these comments on the page might really get you thinking to start this weekend. Modern life can be so stressful and it’s hard to realize when you really are living in the best of times. Here’s what Dane had to say about Gayheart.
“Well, we still love each other deeply. I just think we don’t wanna live with each other. But, there’s a lot of love there. I will have never, by the time anybody sees this, I’ll have never fallen in love with another woman as deeply as I fell in love with her. She’s the mother of my children, and the whole way that I think it came about. It was so organic, and fortuitous. I met Rebecca, and I turned to a friend and I said, ‘I’m gonna marry that girl.’:
The interviewer asked, “How did you know?” Dane just smiled and replied, “I have no idea? I have no idea how serious I was in that moment. But, I said that. Our friend said, ‘No way! She’s never breaking up with her fiancé, they’re getting married. They’ve been together since they were 15!’ You know, four years later, I married her. I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life where it was supposed to happen..”
Eric Dane passes away at 53
A lot of social media fans were shocked to hear that the Grey’s Anatomy and Euphoria star died at the age of 53. But, back in April 2025, the actor shared that he had ALS. The rare neurodegenerative disease is a heartbreaking diagnosis for the people in the patient’s life. Around 5000 Americans are diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis every year, and Dane’s diagnosis raised awareness about the disease.
His family delivered a statement about his death and the circumstances of his last days. It’s beautiful to hear his daughters Billie and Georgia and his wife coming together to make sure he was comfortable. Here’s what the Dane family had to say. “With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS,” reads a statement from Dane’s family. “He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world.”
“Throughout his journey with ALS, Eric became a passionate advocate for awareness and research, determined to make a difference for others facing the same fight,” they continued. “He will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered always. Eric adored his fans and is forever grateful for the outpouring of love and support he’s received. The family has asked for privacy as they navigate this impossible time.”
