We Are Excited: Vin Diesel Teases the Possibility of an Iron Giant Sequel

Don't speak 2 fast, or 2 furious, Vin.

Unlike his animated counterpart in Guardians of the Galaxy, Vin Diesel is known for being rather outspoken, especially on social media. This week, he’s speaking up about something that is real close to our heart. And that thing is The Iron Giant.

In a Facebook post he put up on Friday, Diesel shared two things: a trailer for the new remastered version of The Iron Giant and the following comment:

I have been very lucky to have played so many interesting characters… one of the first and one of my favorites is… the Iron Giant.P.s. Don’t be surprised when you hear WB announce the sequel.

“Don’t be surprised when you hear WB announce the sequel”? Are you trying to tease us, Vin?! Or are you telling the truth? Because if you are teasing us, that’s about as cruel as the fake-out first ending of The Iron Giant. (No spoilers because you really should go watch this movie, made by Brad Bird in 1999, for yourself.)

Would you watch a new Iron Giant film? Is it too late to do one? Is Vin Diesel going to turn into the most wanted voice actor of this generation? So many questions. So many possible smiles and tears to come.
