New X-Men: Days of Future Past Pics Are, Dare I Say It, Groovy

[View All on One Page]

Wolverine, nice to know you’re still brooding. Mystique, nice floppy hat. And, as always, Peter Dinklage: Loving the lip caterpillar.

Peter Dinklage is, without a doubt, a total badass.

That guy should be in everything.

  • MeatyStakes

    So Xavier can walk?

  • Jessy Southard Strohmeyer

If I’m Xavier, I’m totally not trusting Magneto to hover my “wheelchair” for me.

  • Anonymous

OMG, I am actually starting to get totally stoked for this…

  • Anonymous

    Not necessarily.

Remember that Bryan Singer played with the ‘I can walk in dreamscapes’ in the first X-Men movie, and also notice that there are a mix of candid set pictures and publicity stills–they might be taking direction notes from Bryan Singer very seriously, not acting. No telling with this group. (the shot where Bryan is on the set and Patrick Stewart is all SRS BSNS is my fave)

  • Joseph Finn

    I think it’s a hover chair, really.

  • Jessy Southard Strohmeyer

I think so, too, really, but the other thought struck me as amusing.

  • Joseph Finn

Absolutely. Also, it keeps me from sounding like a creep when commenting on Jennifer Lawrence’s photo.

  • Cy

I’ve always thought Jennifer Lawrence was attractive but I’m pretty sure my brain shut off when the floppy hat picture loaded. I’ve heard the description “disarming smile” and now I know exactly what it means.

Wait so did young Magneto and young Xavier make up?

  • Mark Matson

So does time travel change the course of history so the third movie never happens in this timeline?

  • WheelchairNinja

Is… is Magento using his powers to make Xavier’s chair fly? Awesome! I have *got* to get me a friend who can move metal with his mind…

  • Jim

    We can only hope.

I wonder if they’ll actually let Mystique fight in this one. That was the only thing that I disliked about First Class (actually, annoyed is putting it lightly, I was pissed as all hell)-the fact that I was robbed of watching Mystique beat the hell out of somebody.

Should be noticed that Xavier had a floating wheelchair in the 90′s

  • Important Film Maker

    Jennifer Lawrence is unbearably cute.

  • Important Film Maker

Imagine what an “arming” smile would look like…

  • Michael Singer

There’s pick of her pinning some military guy up against a wall with her leg, martial arts style. So I think that we’ll get more combat Mystique in this film.

  • Michael Singer

Ellen Page is the perfect choice to play Kitty, hopefully she gets more to do in this film than she did in X3. Also, does she ever age? She looks the same now as she did in Juno. Iceman with a beard is cool (are those two lovey dovey now I wonder)? Wolverine looks awesome, Jackman looks more and more like him as he gets older. And I like the design of Mystique, the body suit looks quite good.

I still don’t get over the fact that Jennifer Lawrence is back, but Rebecca Romjin is not!

Anyway, it’s the number 1 movie of my waiting list next year. Be good, please!

  • Raiden

Iceman was actually competing with Spider Man for Kitty Prydes affection in the Ultimate comics. They broke up eventually, it wasnt a mutual agreement either.

If its anything like the actual Days of Future Past comic, Kitty will likely have a central role to play.

  • Cy

I’m guessing the smirk the Punisher gets when he kicks down a door.

  • Jessy Southard Strohmeyer

True. But by the time they’re older Xavier and Magneto, Eric has proven that instead of freeing Xavier from the fake Cerebro, he rather leave Charles there but direct him to murder billions of people. So…trust issues…

  • WheelchairNinja

Yes, but if you’ve ever used a chair in real life you know how impractically bulky something like this is: http://i911.photobucket.com/albums/ac312/jamsessionmb/LCA/Films/XM1C/Prof%20X/9cf4d2fc.jpg

  • Anonymous

You don’t need to use a chair to know this is extremaly bulky xD
But then again it was a comic in the 90′s … everything was impratical =P

The pic of the movie is a simpler chair without wheels … or Xavier needs Eric for everything or it is a post-ipod future minimalistic hover chair.

…but it IS kinda cute (reads = yaoi) he needing eric to go everywhere

  • http://www.aeryllou.tumblr.com/ Aeryl

    That’s likely Mystique as Charles.

  • Melynda

I’m probably the only one who groaned when Kitty and Iceman are the first two featured. I generally dislike Ellen Page as an actress and the love triangle with Kitty, Bobby, and Rogue was old like 5 minutes after it became a thing in the X-Men movie that shall not be named.

  • Ryan Colson

They did in the comics so likely.. after all, Mags still has to create the metal Cerebro.

  • Jessy Southard Strohmeyer

We can only hope they recon Last Stand…
