Hugh Jackman & Jennifer Lawrence Both Departing X-Men Very Very Soon

Fare thee well, friends.

WOLVERINE …ONE LAST TIME. HJ

All roles must eventually come to an end. Hugh Jackman just instagrammed himself with Wolverine claws and a very bittersweet caption. Bye-bye, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. X-Men: Apocalypse starts filming in April, but Jackman hasn’t been confirmed for that one, and Wolverine 3 is reportedly filming back-to-back with Apocalypse.

Who wants to bet he and Jennifer Lawrence — who announced earlier this week that Apocalypse will be her last film as Mystique — will be grabbing drinks together and getting straight-up sloshed at the end of this? What I wouldn’t give to be a fly on the wall (or a butt in the seat next to them) hearing all the dirt they got from those sets.

It’s the end of a (very specific) era, for better or for worse.
