Here’s Your Trailer for Joss Whedon’s Much Ado About Nothing Featuring All of His Friends

In case you’ve forgotten in the interim, this is the Shakespearean comedy that Joss Whedon filmed in his backyard with some buddies during a his brief summer vacation from filming The Avengers. In honor of the occasion, Whedon joined twitter.

Sort of.

Ah, well. He’s a busy guy.

And then Twitter exploded over a single once-off tweet never to be repeated. The entire reaction was really… wait for it …”Much Ado About Nothing.”

It’s got Amy Acker (yay!), Alexis Denishof, and Nathon Fillion, but where is Eliza Dushku?

And Gina Torres? Or any other people of color? I love Whedon and I will see it anyway, but come on dude!

Saw it at the Toronto International Film Festival back in September. It was a really good version!

This looks SO amazing. I love that he just filmed this in his yard in 12 days. Swoon.

Well there’s also @JoshWeaton, which is probably be a fake but Steven Soderbergh also tweets under an unverified alias so maybe it could be real. Probably just wishful thinking on my part.

Is it just me or does the trailer make “Much Ado” (a comedy) seem so grim? I have little faith in this trailer. I’m sure the film is much better.

    wow!!! this looks great!
    can’t wait to see it

I will definitely see it, although I’m not a huge fan of Amy Acker or Alexis Denishof. I know they’re Joss’s BFFs, but I never warmed to either of those actors.

The film is hilarious. I don’t know why that trailer looks like it does (i.e. interesting, but nothing whatsoever to do with the film), but it doesn’t do it justice.
