Quicksilver for X-Men and The Avengers?
By now, you’ve probably heard about the additional scene that appears after the credits of Thor. While we won’t tell you what happens in that scene, we will divulge a couple of things. Stellan Skarsgård is in it, playing Erik Selvig. So is Samuel L. Jackson, playing Nick Fury. However, the director of that scene was not Thor director Kenneth Branagh — it was Joss Whedon, who is directing The Avengers. Slightly spoilery information (for Thor only) after the jump.
Blastr says that the scene is familiar territory for Whedon, comparing the “underground government facility that deals with weird magic and science” to the Initiative in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In this interview with Empire, Skarsgård talks about his reunion with his Deep Blue Sea co-star Jackson as well as what he really — as in “legally” — cannot talk about concerning The Avengers.
Okay, we will spoil one thing: no sharks. Nope. No sharks in The Avengers. As far as we know …
