Vanilla Ice Hearkens Back to His TMNT Glory Days, Hawks Mac & Cheese

Because, for all that “Ice Ice Baby” is a musical masterpiece of our (and any other) time, the indisputable highlight of Mr. Ice’s career will always be his appearance in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. This commercial is cheesy in the best way.

On a related note, the new Nick cgi Ninja Turtles cartoon has an awesome female villain (Karai) that is REALLY important both on the first and second seasons and STILL there is no signs of a toy based on her, even with her receiving more backstory and importance than random enemy mutants that got toys very soon

Ice Ice Baby only was a success (or ‘musical masterpiece’) because it has the distinctive sample from ‘Under Pressure’ – a song from Queen and David Bowie. Honestly, I’m always bugged if the radio plays Under Pressure, and someone says “uhhh isn’t this taken from Ice Ice Baby?!” – bah.

One is a masterpiece of musical art that can move you to tears.

Another is self-aggrandizing, cannibalized, disposable junk-pop.
